Montgomery Friends of Open Space (MFOS) is a nonprofit all-volunteer organization formed in March 2002. Our main goals are to preserve open land in Montgomery Township, to act as stewards for preserved properties, and to run a farmers’ market to support local agriculture. By working hard to protect remaining open land, we hope to achieve a better balance between growth and preservation.

Come shop indoors during our next winter market. We have local vendors and live music.

Get Involved

People have fun when they participate in our events and projects. Meeting new people, or being with friends, working on something together is both rewarding and enjoyable. One can do a little or a lot. Tell us what you are interested in, and how much time you have available, and we’ll fit you in.

MFOS wants volunteers willing to:

  • Trail building and maintenance
  • Farmers’ Market sales assistant
  • Helping with special events
  • Fundraising, grant writing, envelope stuffing, general office assistance
